Teufelskeller Nature Reserve
The Teufelskeller (Devil’s Cellar) Nature Reserve is a prehistoric landslide site on the eastern flank of the Baregg. More than 100,000 years ago, the glacier began to retreat. The surrounding terrain subsequently collapsed and left behind a varied landscape of cliff tor formations, gorges and caves. Alongside the typical indigenous plants, up to 50-metre-high beech, ash and spruce trees are at home in this nature conservation area.
A number of nature and forest-themed guided tours are available in the Baden recreation area. You can also explore on your own, aided by an audio guide containing a plethora of interesting facts about this nature conservation area. You can even step up the activity level by running along one of the many keep-fit routes and trails. The Mittelland (Central Plateau) Cycling Route No. 5 also runs through Baden.
Be enchanted by the impressive natural landscape and take a walk through the Devil’s Cellar with your participants – this is the perfect place to recharge your batteries.
