The carnival is an integral part of the culture and customs of the city of Baden. This takes place from the dirty Thursday to the Ash Wednesday. For several decades, a varied programme, consisting of street carnival and processions, has guaranteed a colourful hustle and bustle in the centre of Baden. The various events are known far beyond the city and cantonal borders. From young to old, they attract over 10,000 carnival enthusiasts from all over Switzerland to Baden every year.
